New Educational Specialist in School Psychology Program

Educational Specialist (EdS) in School Psychology

It’s back! The University of Tennessee, in an effort to help with the shortage of school psychologists, is excited to bring back the Educational Specialist (EdS) Program in School Psychology. The EdS Program is a three-year program designed to prepare qualified school psychologists who can provide evidence-based assessment, consultation, and interventions in a K-12 setting. Also, students will have access to the coursework required for Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA) if they want to become certified as a BCBA. Individuals with previous teaching and/or school counseling experience are encouraged to apply. We will be accepting students to start Fall of 2020. Tentative application deadline is March 1st. Currently, we are updating the program website to provide all the information you need, including application deadlines, but in the meantime, if you have questions, please contact Dr. Merilee McCurdy at mccurdy2@utk.edu (865-974-8144) or Dr. Rob Richardson at rricha35@utk.edu .
